Mathew Downey of the Johnson Center for Philanthropy of Grand Valley State University, an academic center focused on increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the charitable sector will present.  The centers work involves conducting research, teaching effective practices, and providing pathways to service, including seeking foundation support for your educational projects.   The keynote will focus on thinking strategically about securing grant dollars, matching your ideas with sources of funding, locating funding resources, and writing a winning proposal.

A.     In this session, Christine Quinn, Secretary of the MiWorks! Association of Directors offers updates on new training programs and strategies for partnering with MiWorks!

B.    From Concept to Proposal.  Karen Kleinhardt Director of Business and Industry of MMCC will present ideas and strategies for developing proposals for training services, contracts and memos of understanding.

Marketing and Sales Using Social Media – Tracey Whitehouse Communication Director of IEQ Consultants of Midland, Michigan will offer insight and ideas for you to start using social media to promote your programs and you can also incorporate this presentation into your own program offerings. You will find information to enhance your existing internet marketing courses or offer it as a new, stand-alone seminar for students and entrepreneurs
